Trained as a historian at the London School of Economics, Chris worked as a marketer and a trendwatcher before turning to the world of new business ideas with Springwise.
Working as a marketer in London, Chris led full-service agency RPM’s research into campaign innovation and strategic intelligence. Chris then moved to trendwatching.com, quickly establishing himself as Head of Research and Analysis. He lead a team of analysts, producing Trend Briefings and annual Trend Reports that have been purchased by virtually every leading B2C brand in the world.
Chris has spoken around the world on consumer trends and business innovation. Meanwhile, his comments have featured in national and international publications from CNN to the Vancouver Sun, the Irish Independent, and the BBC.
