1. What is Springwise?
Springwise scans the globe for the most promising business ventures, ideas and concepts that are ready for regional or international adaptation, expansion, partnering, investments or cooperation. We ferociously track more than 400 global offline and online business resources, as well as taking to the streets of world cities, digital cameras at hand.
To ensure true ‘glocal’ coverage, the central office is in close contact with more than 8,000 Springspotters in over 70 countries worldwide. Springwise's weekly newsletter, to which you can subscribe for free, is sent to more than 100,000 business professionals in more than 120 countries.
Springwise is the first company to compile and send out a newsletter like this on a global scale, making optimal use of an ever more networked world. Established in spring of 2002, Springwise is headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

3. Who publishes Springwise?
The team that brings you both Springwise and trendwatching.com is headed up by founder Reinier Evers, a citizen of The Netherlands, and an accomplished trend watcher, entrepreneur, and presenter. Reinier holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam, and has been fascinated with the online business revolution ever since being introduced to the nascent web in 1994.
Liesbeth den Toom is Springwise's senior editor. Previously, Liesbeth worked for professional law and consulting firms in the Netherlands, and headed up Urbanbite.nl. Liesbeth can be emailed at liesbeth@springwise.com.
Reinier Evers founded both Springwise and trendwatching.com Reinier is an accomplished trend watcher, entrepreneur, and presenter.
Katherine Noyes is a freelance writer with 20 years of experience in business and high-tech publishing, including positions at TechNewsWorld, the E-Commerce Times, LinuxInsider and CIO Magazine. She also teaches university courses in consumer behavior, services marketing and online journalism.
Mark Ingebretsen is a journalist and book author who specializes in entrepreneurial business, health care, finance and technology. He is a regular contributor to IEEE Intelligent Systems magazine and a former columnist for the Online Wall Street Journal and TheStreet.com.
Michell Zappa coordinates our Springspotter Network. Previously, Michell worked as a branded content developer and consumer trend spotter for Young & Rubicam São Paulo. He also designed the current springwise.com website.
