More ultra premium grape juice

Food & Beverage Published on 16 May 2008 in Food & Beverage

Not long ago we wrote about high-end grape juices by First Blush, and recently one of our spotters came across MonaVie, another ultra premium line of alcohol-free juices that could easily be confused with wine.

Utah-based MonaVie offers both juices and concentrated gels made from 19 different fruits, all chosen for their healthful properties. First among them is the Brazilian acai berry—widely considered a health-promoting superfood—accompanied by apricot, aronia, acerola, lychee, wolfberry, bilberry and of course grape, to name just a few. Pricing is very high-end, indeed, at about USD 40 per 750 ml bottle of juice.

MonaVie is currently sold on a person-to-person basis in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan, with plans to expand further around the globe through its multi-level marketing business model. While joining a potentially restrictive MLM network isn't something we'd necessarily recommend, the ultra premium presentation of juice is one to look into if you're in food and beverage. I am in the Brand management business and my company owns and distributes brands.

The best sentence in the above description of the above Monavie brand juice is..."joining a potentially restrictive MLM network isn't something we'd necessarily recommend."

Multi-level marketing products a Springwise business?! There is nothing innovative and fresh about this... nor is there anything "ultra premium" or "luxury" about the MLM channel... shame on you Springwise for including this one...

Shame on Springwise?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. But there are plenty of innovative products being distributed under the MLM/Network Marketing business model.

We'll I must disagree with all three of you, I started drinking Monavie in Febuary, I feel great, and now Oprah and Rachal Ray are Drinking it also. This is a great Product and the sales are in the billions and its only the forth year out. Any questions please email me and i will fill you in. Thanks for reading. staff@hypersonicsites.com

For the last comment posted. In this business....let's leave out the "Names".....Remember P.R. does not always mean Public Relations...P.R. also stands Purchased Returns!! Welcome to the business.

Network Marketing,MLM,relationship marketing, whatever you want to call it, is direct sales - the oldest form of business. When it started, companies did not know how to structure their distribution. expansion, promotion, and the compensation plan for those involved. As a result, a lot failed, and "pyramid schemes" were given to ANY company in the industry.

Network marketing (taking the view that products spread through networks of people, and a network is a massive and valuable asset - that in turn can make people money) has GROWN! It is one of fastest growing industries.

For a part time perspective, i think network marketing is going to explode and become an outlet for many individuals to do business. It's natural, its fair, and it provides residual income - an amazing concept.

MonaVie is taking advantage of the health and wellness industry exploding. MonaVie is an amazing product. I'm not in the business side of things, but I probably will - there have been so many people who i let try it, and love it!

On a per gram basis, it is the most nutritious product out there. Who better to explain its amazingness then people, not traditional advertising. WOM is the best form of marketing, everyone knows it. Network marketing is finding a way to use WOM to make consumers money, while in turn expanding their product nationally, and potentially globally.

Surprisingly a lot of companies have used network marketing - its cost effective. Only produce to the size of the market that your consumers/promoters have created. Smaller inventory, smaller costs. No advertising costs, or very little!

Way to long of a comment - but the more i read about network marketing, the more I believe its where business for new products (and perhaps some services) is going.

If you want to expand your horizons to other premium grape juices that are more moderately priced, take some time to explore SweetwaterCellars.com. It is the largest site where one can order bottles from multiple domestic and international vineyards. Mix and match orders are welcome and the minimum order is only one bottle! A sister site, SweetwaterOrchards, focuses on non-alc ciders and single varietal fruit juices.
