TeamDating is the group version of Match.com: it allows groups of friends to interact with other groups of friends, increasing their social circles and their chances of meeting someone worth dating.
Same-sex or mixed groups of friends sign up on TeamDating, post their profiles and then interact online with other groups, with the goal of meeting up offline. Besides increasing each individual's odds of meeting the right partner, TeamDating is being marketed as less dangerous and less intimidating than regular online dating.
TeamDating calls itself an online extension of real life. Why should online dating be limited to scrolling through impersonal profiles and awkward first meetings? Founders Ray Doustdar and Kipp Gillian created Team Dating with the intention of taking online dating to the next level. As they say on their website, “We created TeamDating.com because we thought that using mathematical algorithms, personality profile tests, and other scientific methods is not how you meet new people. You should meet new people online the same way people have been meeting other people offline for thousands of years – through friends and current social networks.”
Group dating has been around for a while in Japan, where so-called kompa parties are a regular part of the dating scene. Besides TeamDating in the US, we've spotted Compa in the UK. That leaves quite a few markets wide open! Not into dating? I think the "Love Doctor" needs to take some medicine, because this idea for TeamDating.com is a great one. I am so sick of wasting nights and all this time I have spent online, with being disappointed with whom I meet. Plus, the safety benefits of doing this in a group are HUGE! Plus, it just feels like fun, I am so sick of all the stress of current online sites.
Thanks,
Jenny Adams

Better yet, try webdatedotcom, a fun and exciting dating site that has a wider numbers of members that one may be your match. You can talk anything under the sun and above all we have so many features to choose from.
I went on this site and it was lame. i got 17 emails from the "founders" and no emails from a real user of the site. They also lied about how many members they have.
Overall this was a true waste of my time. better luck getting a date standing in line at the DMV.
team dating is a waste of time, I tried it.
Hi
I like the idea of team dating but how do you hook up with the right amounts of guys and girls? Do you have to have a certain number in your team and can you have a mixed team? A lot of my friends are single professional males
please have a look at www.datemymates.co.uk which is a similar site but more UK based.
Group dating isn't a new concept, and there are versions of this already all over the internet. In fact, group dating is a very low-pressure way of mixing it up in a non-venue singles setting.
However, match.com has NO AFFILIATION with teamdating.com as this page misleads the reader into thinking!
Interest in joining us for people enjoy outdoor activities, holistic and healthy lifestyles, caring for animal rights and environmental protection? We are interested in you and wanna chat with you.
No spam and no abusive message.

Group dating is not new at all! I go on clicktonight.com, UK based and all about groups. They focus on parties too though, so all the groups have a forum to meet
I think its a great idea.... After reading this article, I looked around and came across this site: letsMuGo.com - it seems to use the idea of "team dating" but also incorporates a regular social networking site... worth a glance...
I agree, it's a brilliant idea. A new SF based company called MIXTT is launching their site soon. (www.mixtt.com). My friends and I have already signed up for this since we've heard a lot of buzz about it. Apparently they already have a lot of people signed-up. Last time I checked you could still submit your email to get an invite to their beta phase.
I've heard some good things about NY-based Ignighter, which is supposedly based on the Group Dating concept. For all you east-coasters, their website is http://www.ignighter.com/ .
Yeah I've used www.Ignighter.com Mario, it's awesome.

There seems to be a myriad of online dating facilities which are making it increasingly difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff. I have feeling the Teamdating is a variation on a theme that will fade away in time like so many other online dating sites.
