If sensors can be placed onto motorcycle helmets to alert loved ones in the event of a crash, then it seems like the logical next step is to install such a device in cars. Enter splitsecnd, a GPS-enabled keyfob that instantly connects drivers to an emergency responder when an accident happens. The device, which is small enough to fit onto a keychain containing car keys, can be plugged into the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
