Kittyo lets pet owners speak to, play with, reward with treats, and record their cats from remote locations, using an app available for iOS or Android.
We’ve seen devices that enable pet owners to feed their furry friends when they’re away from home, and we’ve also seen devices designed to let them play and game with their animal companions remotely. To some extent then, our next spotting was inevitable. Kittyo lets pet owners speak to, play with, reward with treats, and record their cats from a remote location.
The Kittyo device is made up of a webcam, a laser, a speaker and a treat dispenser. Through a companion app, available for iOS and Android, pet owners can access the device to watch and record their cats from wherever they are in the world. They can also entertain the cat with the laser, speak to them through a live audio stream via the speaker, and drop food and treats to keep their cat from going hungry until dinner time. Having beaten their Kickstarter target more than nine times over, the device will be available in November for approximately USD 180.
How else could technology be used to bring owners closer to their pets throughout the day?
