A sunglass company in Barcelona, FOS, lets customers design their own sunglasses from 100 percent recycled waste. Customers choose different quantities of coloured plastic flakes to make their own unique product.
The sunglasses are designed to be eco-friendly. They are made of one material, including hinges and screws. FOS will repair frames and replace screws. The point is for the sunglasses to be endlessly recycled. Customers are encouraged to return them if they no longer want them so they can be recycled again.
The company hosts workshops where customers make their own product in less than an hour.
