Plenty of Tumblr users think of themselves as the curators of their own personal digital gallery. Now, TumbVR is a simple web tool, which gets them even closer to this idea by converting any Tumblr into a virtual reality gallery, complete with marble flooring and framed images.
To begin, users simply visit TumbVR and input their blog URL. Then, the tool, created by programmer Thomas Balouet, will generate a VR gallery, using the images from the blog as the art on the walls. TumbVR, which was created using FrameVR and NodeJS, can be viewed using Oculus or on compatible browsers.
How else could VR be used to enhance user-generated content?
